This Warranty & Product Use Policy explains the limited warranty that comes with PawKitty products, what we expect in terms of proper use, and how we handle warranty-related issues if something goes wrong.


Limited Warranty Coverage

PawKitty provides a limited 30-day warranty from the date of delivery on eligible products.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and covers:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Functional failure that occurs under normal, intended use

This warranty is intended to ensure products arrive and function as expected when used correctly.


Intended Use Requirement

All products must be used only for their intended purpose.

Examples:

  • A cat scratching post is designed to be used as a scratching post and not as a shelf, step stool, or weight-bearing surface.

Use of a product outside its intended purpose may void warranty coverage and limit available remedies.


What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This limited warranty does not cover issues resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear, including damage from regular cat use such as scratching, chewing, or clawing
  • Misuse, abuse, or modification
  • Improper installation or setup
  • Accidental damage
  • Use beyond the intended purpose
  • Environmental or external factors such as moisture, excessive heat, improper surfaces, or exceeding recommended weight limits
  • Commercial, rental, or bulk use

Proof Requirements for Warranty Claims

To evaluate a warranty claim, we may require proof of the issue, including:

  • Photos for visible defects or damage
  • Short video for functional or performance-related issues

Warranty proof must be submitted promptly after the issue is discovered and before the product shows signs of excessive wear, misuse, or alteration.

Failure to provide sufficient proof may limit or void warranty eligibility.


Warranty Resolution

When a valid warranty claim is approved, PawKitty will determine the appropriate resolution, which may include:

  • A replacement product (preferred resolution)
  • Store credit
  • A refund, where appropriate

Replacement shipping costs for approved warranty claims are covered by PawKitty.

Relationship to Returns & Delivery Policies

  • Warranty coverage applies within the same 30-day timeframe used for delivery and return evaluations
  • Warranty support may still apply even if the return window has passed, provided the claim meets warranty conditions
  • Delivery-related issues are handled under our Shipping Policy

Exclusive Remedy

The remedies provided under this warranty (replacement, store credit, or refund) are the exclusive remedies available for warranty-related claims.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, no additional compensation or remedies are available beyond those expressly stated in this policy.


Limitation of Warranty Scope

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to products purchased directly from PawKitty or authorized sales channels.

Warranty coverage may be limited or denied in cases of repeated claims, misuse, or abuse of warranty privileges.
